Great game of Polonia in Legia Stadium. The Black Shirts surprised Legia and drew in the first match of Bakero as a coach. Five hundred fans of Polonia celebrated it in Konwiktorska, where they watched the game and met with the players after the match.

José María Bakero is the new coach of Polonia Warszawa. The Spanish played in FC Barcelona for 8 years, winning four Spanish Leagues, one Spanish Cup, one European Cup, two UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup and some Supercups. In his debut, Polonia drew with local rival Legia 1:1.

A really shameful performance at Konwiktorska

Polonia lost against Lechia Gdańsk 0:1 in their second game at Konwiktorska in Warsaw. Once again this season Polonia played chaotically, with no imagination and no ideas on the offensive strategy. Lechia had one shot on goal. After watching this game, it’s hard to think that Polonia can repeat the success from last season.

Fantastic victory against Lech!

In the 3rd Ekstraklasa fixture Polonia Warszawa beat Lech Poznan 2:4 in an away game in Wronki! Many goals in Poznan and some brutal moments on the field. The referee Kenji Ogiya showed 5 yellow cards and a red card for Sławomir Peszko in the 71st minute (handball). Polonia didn’t play too good, but with these last two victories, who cares about that? It was one of the most spectacular and prestigious victories for Polonia in a long time.

5 years taking care of jaguar Beata!

It’s five years since we've adopted the black jaguar Beata. We had an event with the zoo director, coach and players (Gołaszewski said that "we will fight as a black jaguar"). The event was covered by the press and the whole action was evaluated very positively.

The “Black Shirts” played their first match at home, after the disaster in Kielce, and defeated Śląsk in the second match of the league. The most important goals of the match were scored in the additional time by Marcelo Sarvas and Daniel Gołębiewski.

Polonia lost against NAC Breda

Polonia’s Europa League campaign came to an end in Breda, following a 3:1 defeat to NAC Breda.No chances in the first minutes of the game, until Matthew Amoah opened the scoring for NAC in the 25th minute. NAC won a corner and Amoah turned a loose ball into the net. Nothing changed until the goal of Petrus Lurling just a minute before half time.

The unlucky moments for Polonia began in the 39th minute. After a misunderstanding between the two defenders Tomasz Jodłowiec and Daniel Kokosiński, Kees Kwakman scored the only goal of the match.

Thanks to our Spanish friend Xavier our "English news" section is up again. We hope that this site will be the main source of information about our club for foreign supporters, our friends and rivals in the UEFA Europa League. Moreover, Xavier provided us with a Spanish translation of club's history so now our friends from LFN can read it in their mother tongue (Información).
